My Background
I have served in HR leadership roles with the federal courts and local government in the Seattle area, implementing prevention strategies that foster trust and enhance workplace safety. As a leader with the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals (ATAP) for over 15 years, I have trained thousands globally on building effective partnerships between security, HR, and community stakeholders. I hold an MBA from the University of Washington and a JD from Seattle University School of Law, with expertise in employment law and mediation.
My background includes a deep understanding of people and safety:
-
Employee and labor relations
-
Crisis communication and incident preparedness and response
-
Behavioral threat assessment and management
-
Awareness and prevention of harassment, workplace violence, and workplace bullying
People describe me as positive, honest, and approachable. I am a lifelong learner, whether going to law school at night, teaching on the power of words, or creating threat assessment scavenger hunts. I love to walk, swim, explore ideas, and connect with people.
